For the second time this year, Annabelle Metayer has been commissioned by Utex Fashion Group of Canada to illustrate its upcoming collection. Utex manufactures and markets brands that include Jones New York, Hilary Radley, Daniel Hechter, U&I, and Massimo Moda.
The images are used extensively on their website and are meant to convey the look and feel of the season's portfolio. Posters of the illustrations are also displayed on the facade of the headquarters and in the lobby area.
This project was a lot of fun for Annabelle, including the challenge of drawing fashion-forward men. She particularly enjoyed going to Utex headquarters to take pictures of the actual garments and the briefing about the different brands' identities. Once in her studio, she took great pleasure in adding the small details and colors unique to each collection.
